Excellent supplement, good size capsules and easy to take.
I really like the combination of chelated magnesium malate/bisglycinate, B6 and ashwaganda. The dose for 2 capsules is 300 mg of ashwaganda, 1 g of B6 and 153 mg of magnesium. The percent daily value for magnesium is on the lower end, at 36% of the DV, according to the label. Overall I like the product because of its combination, the capsules were easy to swallow and no taste was noted.
I have been taking magnesium on and off for years to help with nighttime restlessness. I don't know if it's mind over matter, but it works for me. I've never tried abhwagandha, but since it can also reduce anxiety and stress levels in women, I decided "why not, right?".
So far I have found Divinity Magnesium to be extremely helpful for my sleep. It claims to help with muscle and bone health, but I don't know if it has a realistic effect on either.
I know that I am able to fall asleep faster and stay asleep until it is time to wake up. Even if it's the placebo effect, honestly, I don't care. I sleep and that's all that matters to me.
Easy to take capsules. Magnesium is one of those supplements that makes a noticeable difference!
This supplement contains doses of glycinate and magnesium malate consistent with, although closer to, US and Canadian recommendations. There are no official recommendations for ashwaganda, but 300 mg is consistent with recommendations in the medical literature (e.g., DOI 10.1097/MD.0000000000017186).
The bottle is well sealed and the capsules appear to be in good condition with no broken casings, odors or other issues.
The type of magnesium included in the supplement has a number of claimed benefits, but it is not magnesium L-threonate, which is said to have specific benefits for the brain. Magnesium glycinate is said to be good for insomnia, anxiety, depression and stress.
Another comment criticizes the inclusion of cellulose, but it is basically an indigestible fiber, and some studies suggest it even has anti-inflammatory effects (e.g., DOI 10.1080/19490976.2020.1829962).
Overall, this seems like a good supplement, and I can recommend it, but those looking specifically for magnesium L-threonate should look elsewhere.
